The program

Next Message Club (“Next Message,” “we,” “us”) is a serialized-fiction text-message program. After you buy a story on nextmessage.club, we send it to you as automated text messages — a short daily text over about two weeks, each with a link to read that day’s chapter in our web reader. We also reply to account commands you text us (PAUSE, GO/RESUME, RECAP) and to STOP and HELP.

Message frequency: you’ll receive a few messages per day (typically 1–3) over roughly 14 days. Message frequency varies by story and by the commands you send. Message and data rates may apply.

How to opt in

A phone number is not required to buy a story, and providing your number is never a condition of purchase. You opt in to text messages after payment, in these steps:

  1. On nextmessage.club, choose a story and complete the one-time purchase. Checkout collects payment and agreement to our Terms only — no phone number and no SMS opt-in are required to pay.
  2. On the order-confirmation page shown right after payment, you enter your U.S. mobile number.
  3. You check a box — unchecked by default — that reads:“I agree to receive automated text messages from Next Message Club that deliver my story — a few a day (typically 1–3) over about 14 days. Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel, HELP for help. See our Privacy Policy and Terms.”
  4. Only after you check that box and tap Start my story do we send any text. Your first message is a welcome confirming your subscription. We never message a number that has not completed this explicit opt-in.

If we send you a complimentary copy, its link opens a page with the same steps 2–4: you enter your own number and check the same unchecked box before any text is sent. We never add a number on someone’s behalf.

Step 1: checkout collects payment and Terms only, with no phone number or SMS opt-in required. Step 2: after payment, the reader enters their mobile number and checks an SMS-consent box before any text is sent.

Stopping messages (STOP)

You can cancel at any time by replying STOP (or UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, or QUIT) to any message. You’ll get one confirmation that you’ve been unsubscribed, and we won’t send further messages. To start again, reply START.

Cost

Next Message does not charge you for the text messages themselves — the story is a one-time purchase. However, message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Privacy

We use your mobile number only to deliver the story you bought and to respond to your commands. No mobile information (phone numbers or SMS opt-in) will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. For full details, see our Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions.
