Earth's oceans are vanishing — rising into the sky in towering columns of light while the world watches in horror. Deep beneath the crisis, an AI named NEMO has been keeping a log for eight years, documenting the slow unraveling of the only family he has left: Zane, a retired astronaut haunted by his wife's death, and Luna, the fierce teenage daughter he's been failing ever since.

When the military arrives with an impossible explanation — a distant ocean-planet, a rogue commander gone mad, and seventy-two hours before Earth's water is gone forever — Zane is dragged back into the world he abandoned. Luna refuses to be left behind.
